Field Trips

Emmersyn had a field trip to the apple orchard/ pumpkin patch on the 23rd & Bryceton had a field trip on the 25th to a different pumpkin patch. I was lucky enough to attend both field trips & had a lot of fun with both classes.

This was the first time Emmersyn went on a field trip without Bryce tagging along (since we can't leave him home alone) so this was a new experience. Bryce wasn't sure when he heard Emma was going to a pumpkin patch without him, but mommy still got to go. Emmersyn enjoyed having just me along. We rode the bus about 30 minutes before we got the to apple orchard. The entire class had a lot of fun. Everyone got to run through a time machine that took us back 100 years so we got to go to a one room school house. The we all got to throw apples to the elk, sign to the pig & laugh at the turkeys & chickens. The kids also were allowed to pick a couple gourds & a couple of apples. It was a lot of fun, but it wore me out.

This we Bryce's 1st field trip without Emma. We drove out the the pumpkin patch about 10 minutes away (which as Bryce said it was taking forever). There we got to ride the hayride to pick out two pumpkin or gourds. Bryce first wanted to pick out the biggest ones he could find. I did have to remind him that mommy had to carry them back to the hayride so keep them some what small. Then he decided that he wanted to find a clean on since most of the ones he found were all dirty (I wouldn't know why, they just grow on the ground.) After telling him that he wouldn't find a clean one he finally settled on two pumpkins. After that they got to play around the farm. on the hay bale train, in the corn & the hay itself. As some of the other moms there stated that we were actually giving the kids permission to "roll in the hay" this was on of Bryce's favorite spots & this is were we finished the trip.

Both kids enjoyed there field trips & I enjoyed the individual time I got to spend with both of them too.
