Family Reunion

This past Saturday Matt the kids & I headed down to Quincy, IL for a family reunion & a dual bridal shower.

We got up around 4 am that way we could be on the road by 5. We caravan with my parents, sister & Chris (to many people for one vehicle), Thankfully we only had to make one pit stop to get out, stretch, eat & go to the bathroom. The kids then started a movie & were set the rest of the trip. Due to flooding around the Mississippi we took a route a little further from the river so that ended up adding a 1/2 hour to our trip.

Once in Quincy we found the shelter house at the park where this all was taking place. We had the tablecloths on the tables & we had some items pulled out by the time family started arriving.

The day was beautiful so we had a good turnout. I was able to see some cousins that I haven't seen in about 10 years & some new 2nd that I have never met. Since my cousin Amy is getting married on Aug 2 & my sis Danielle is getting married on Sept 6 we also had a little shower for them with the entire family. They both received some great items & we all had a lot of fun.

Since My mom & I hosted this whole thing we brainstormed some favors for the family: each received a Family tile & either a "Ladybug" or a "Turtle" for their gardens. If you are on this side of the family you will be getting yours shortly. We made enough for each family & a few extras (Your parents may have them). If any body did not get on please let me or my mom know & we will get them to you.

I will get the picture shortly, but in the meanwhile be thankful I got the update done in a timely manner. (Danielle)
