She's too young for this!

This morning I received a phone call from Emmersyn's school teacher, Mrs. Hunter. Not thinking anything of it as the conversation began.....

Mrs Hunter "Emmersyn has been very sneaky this morning & I thought you might want to know about it"
Me "Oh really, what did she do?"
"Well she handed me a note:
"Dear Hunter Emmersyn has to stay in all of the resesses pleas let her stay in from: Dannette"
"You have to be kidding me."
"No, and when I asked her about it she stated she didn't do it. So I told her I didn't believe her & that she needed to go sit down to think about it. Then come back up to me & talk about it"
"What did she do when you told her that?"
"Well, she put on her coat & went outside for recess, I didn't punish her here at school, but I wanted you to know so she doesn't keep trying this."

Needless to say I was in total shock when I got off the phone with Mrs. Hunter.
Where did Emmersyn even get the idea of this, She is too smart for her own good. I didn't even try anything like this until I was in high school. Not 1st grade, mind you this is the same girl that just turned 7 on Sunday .

Matt & I will talk about punishment tonight, because we need to put a stop to this right now.
So does anyone have any ideas on a punishment? Make sure you stop laughing about the problem before you start trying to fix it. I know I had too.

I guess I wouldn't punish her necessarily.

Could it be that she is getting bullied or made fun of at recess so she doesn't want to go out there anymore?

I can't imagine who would do that to her but kids are cruel.

If that isn't the case then I would move on to the punishment stage!

A punishment was given: No TV in her room until Wednesday, She also had to write an aplogy to her teacher, along with writing "I am sorry Mrs. Hunter, I will not lie" 50 times & "I will not sign my parents names" 50 times. Other than that she just got a good talken to about forgery & lieing.
