A real pain!

We'll we have successfully had another injury/health scare with Matt. Let me explain....

Last Friday Matt told me he must have twisted wrong at work & he was a little sore, so with that said the weekend came & he woke up feeling more back pain. Monday he asked me to make him a doctors appointment, By Tuesday he couldn't make it though work so he came home around 1 pm & he was at his appointment by 3 pm. She looked him over & did a couple of small test in the office. She gave him so anti-inflammatory med & told him light duty until she saw him again on Friday.

Matt took it easy & pretty much did what it took to keep some what comfortable. Thursday at work he sat down to take a break & realized he was having a tingling numbness in his legs, he was home by 10 am. Back at the doctors office by 11 am, there he was sent out to the radiologist office for an MRI & x-ray. He now has pain meds & trying to stay comfortable.

Today we finally got the MRI results & they came back as a close call. He has a "annu??? tear in one of his disc, which is causing his back bone to bulge slightly. Per doctor's orders he is to keep to light duty... no lifting, pushing, pulling anything over 10 pounds for the next two weeks. The pain & tingling should dissipate within the next week or so. As long as he takes it easy & doesn't do any fast twisting or any thing to tear it more he should be healed in approx 6 months.

Another close call & another answered prayer.

Carving pumpkins

Since we had a couple pumpkins (from Bryce's field trip), we decided to pick up a few bigger ones to carve. The kids helped pick out a pattern (a dalmatian), then we got started.

Matt started on the one with the actual pattern since we knew that on would take a little longer. Once we got the caps cut off the other pumpkins the kids went to town.
They started in on the smaller ones with the punches (star & Mickey Mouse). Bryceton enjoyed this one since he could do most of it all by himself. Emmersyn was kind of iffy about reaching in & grabbing the goo, but she got over that pretty quickly.

Matt then did his handy work on the final pumpkin with the advice from the kids he created the masterpiece.

We all enjoyed the family time, we shared &
the kids were so proud of all their Jack-O-Lanterns.
