I got a receipt!!!

In the eyes of a 5 year old, a $5 bill & a Target gift card worth $5 is a lot these were some of her graduation gifts. Of course they both were burning a hole in her pocket or should I say purse. So off to Target we went.

She wasn't sure what exactly she wanted, but she knew how much she had to spend. Since she just had a birthday in March I convenced her she really didn't need any more toys. So to the DVD's we went. Most of the animated kid shows are over $10, so she decided on "A Cinderella Story" with Hillary Duff, one of the movies she likes to watch when it's on TV.

Emma was quite the shopper, at the cash register she handed the cashier the DVD & waited for the total. Saying "I have $5 on this gift card" again handing over the card, waiting for the next total of $2.95. Then from her purse she pulled her change pouch & retrieved her $5 bill. With her change of $2.05 she received her receipt!!!!

You know the first things she told me when we left the store is "I GOT A RECEIPT". That was also the first statement she shared when we got home & saw her Grammi & when Daddy got home. She still has yet to let them know what DVD was purchased or even watch the DVD.

What a big helper!

Yesterday the case of the dog poop on the slide was solved.....

Since we pick up after the dog regularly it was quite an unusal situtation. Bryceton has been using his plastic play shovel (similar the the one we use). to scoop up the poop. Then since he didn't have a bucket to put it in he just piled it up on the end of the slide.
What a helper!!! The way we found out is Matt's mom was on the back deck & he decided it was time to clean the back yard. After he found out someone caught him in the act, he took it upon himself to get the "poop bucket" (yes we spray it out everytime) out of the garage & scoop it into the bucket. He trys hard to get it into th bucket & does most of the time!

Since this task is one that needs to be done & he wasn't touching any thing gross. Who am I to stop him. Never know since he gave this chore to himself, he might get to keep it for a while.

Growing up fast!!!

It's so true when you have kids of your own.
she turned 5 in March, has gone to preschool for 2 years, but it all seem to happen over night.

The invitations went out & the excitment grew...

Emmersyn has now finished her preschool chapter of her education. She is very excited to be going to "Big Kid" school next year.

On May 16, 2007 her preschool had a "End of the year Celebration/Graduation"
for all 3 of the 4-5yr old classes. At the celebration she received her diploma of completion and her ''A-B-C preschool book" that she had been working on all year.

Emmersyn shared this night with family & friends. We are all very proud of Emma and can't wait to watch her succeed in the next chapter.
