Happy Birthday Emmersyn

Emmersyn,

My Little Sweet Pea-
Today at 3:17pm you will be six years old, & what a difference six years makes. It doesn't seem like it should be that long, but yet all of our adventures thus far have been wonderful.
You now go to kindergarten & read books. Your very independent & love to learn new stuff daily. You are so beautiful on both the inside & the out. Please never change that. Thank you for the lessons you have taught me. You & I are a lot alike & so we don't always see eye to eye, some how we always come thur our issues & cuddle while watching a movie together . Bryceton adores you & you are great about including him most of the time. You are such a great big sister & I thank you for that.

You will always be my little sweet pea & for course Daddy's little princess

We all love you very much

Love Mommy

Build-A-Elephant

Our family again has grown by a stuffed animal.

(L to R) Princess, BoBo, & Floppy

Emmersyn & Bryceton both received gift cards to Build-A-Bear for Christmas that was just given to her (them) & she also received one for her birthday. In other words they were set for shopping. Since I am a BABW member I also got double points for any purchase made by March 31, & Emmersyn had seen that they got a new friend to stuff.

An elephant soon to be named Floppy was already in mind. So tonight we took the kids shopping & they enjoyed every minute of paying for their purchases. Emmersyn had enough to get Floppy a "High School Musical" t-shirt, a denim skirt & a "HSM" purse to complete the purchase.

Bryce on the other hand went in with one thing on his mind a football outfit for BoBo, he also had enough to get BoBo a bike helmet w/knee & shoulder pads which you know are very important to a stuffed animal. Both kids walked out of the store as proud as can be sine they paid for them all by themselves & they each got a bag to carry.

Easter

Okay, I know Easter was 4 days ago.

So I dropped the ball again, what can I say I'm a busy person.
Happy Easter to everyone!!!

Easter greeted us with a dusting of snow & very chilly temps. No quite what we were hoping for but it was still a very beautiful day. After church we went over to my parents house & eat a wonderful Easter brunch with Danielle, Chris, Jamie, Isaac & my parents. My brother Derik & nephew Matthias were unable to attend since they were on their way home from a mission trip. He missed a wonderful meal & a great time. Even with the cold temps the women headed out side with the Easter eggs & started hiding them while the kids played inside & the men slept in the living room.

After we hid the eggs we bundled up the kids & off they went. I had my Sister Danielle follow Emmersyn with a camera while I followed Bryce. All three kids had a blast searching for eggs & they all filled their baskets full (Thanks Nana & Papa). I will have pictures coming soon. After the the hunt & the men's naps we put a movie on for the kids & we played a few hands of Goof.

Easter is a wonderful day to spend with family
& I am so glad we did so.

Happy St. Patty's Day (1 day late)

Matt & I have now known each other for twelve years Matt decided to take the day off & that was would make family fun day out off it.
It was a cold, wet & rainy St Patrick's Day, so we started off going for a Green River dink run at a local diner it is always fun starting off a day with a green drink. Then we ran a few errands, then for out for lunch. Since it was raining we opt'ted out of going to the parade & we went to a movie instead. "Horton Hears A Who" was a very cute movie & the we all enjoyed watching it. After the movie we took the kids to an indoor inflatable play place. Where they ran around & played for a good 2 hours. Matt & I decided that it was time to go home when he & I were having trouble keeping our eyes open. The kids fell asleep on the way home so they got there second wind when Matt & I was trying to rest a little. We all had a very fun day & are planning to do a family fun day next St. Patty's day too. Next year we will plan a little more ahead & do a little more research on the happenings going on around town that way we have more of a game plan.

Ohio & back

This past weekend the kids, my parents & I headed to my Grandma's house in Ohio. It was a very fast trip, since we left Friday around 4 pm & arrived home Sunday around 6:30 pm. It was a good trip. While we were there we also were able to see some uncles, Aunts & cousins. The weather in Ohio was chilly so we stayed indoors, we went to a museum, an old fashion candy store & we also enjoyed a small theater show of "The Sound of Music" which was wonderful (a little long for the kids). My cousin Ashley was in the play along with my dad's cousin Don. Everyone in the play did a great job. The trip home got a little long for the kids, but they survived & they will make the trip again, maybe this summer.
I always love the trips bake to the farm & I'm glad I can take my kids there.
